Since the beginning, my father Wilfried Huller believed in using only hand-selected cuts of meat, natural seasonings, and instilled a deep-rooted pride in the products we make. Our products have always been made without the use of any added fillers, artificial colors or MSG. This is why our ingredient label reads more like the items in your kitchen, and not a chemistry class. Simple enough—but to us it means everything! Our Bratwurst
In 1960 my father, along with his parents, brother and sister immigrated to the United States from Rittmannshausen, Germany. He was barely 18, just having completed his "Metzgerei" (Butcher) training from the Schellhauser Academy in Netra. In 1968, after several years of working in local butcher shops and learning the English language, he opened his first store on Washington Ave. in Hoboken, NJ. His business, as well as location grew throughout the years, but the philosophy remained the same, be proud of who we are and what we do, and remain true to the craft.
From Our Family To Yours......
It's been said "Quality Never Goes Out of Style", and our family has been making artisan sausage and meat products for more than 50 years. Our recipes are our own, our process still adheres to the time honored "Old World" tradition my father learned in Germany. We are very excited to offer our products directly to you, and chose a few of our most popular sausages to introduce ourselves to those who might not know us:
German-Style Cooked Bratwurst - perfectly seasoned with Caraway, Nutmeg, and Ginger.
German-Style Smoked Bratwurst - seasoned just as our Cooked Bratwurst, but smoke finished.
Polish-Style Bratwurst - a tasty blend of Coriander, Cardamom, and Garlic round out this delicious smoked sausage.
Hungarian-Style Bratwurst - a delectable combination of Garlic, Smoked Paprika and Caraway make this smoked sausage a winner!
Nürnberger Style Bratwurst - Traditional Nürnberger Style Bratwurst made famous by Germany's Bavarian region
Natural Casing Frankfurters (2lb.) - Our family recipe made from beef and pork, seasoned with white pepper, allspice, coriander, paprika and the right touch of garlic, stuffed in a natural casing for that fantastic "Snap".
Jalapeno CheddarBrats: Our Traditional Smoked Bratwurst seasoned with Caraway, Nutmeg and Ginger plus an added kick of fresh Jalapeno's and naturally aged Sharp Cheddar
Bauernwurst - A Frankfurter / Knackwurst style sausage with lean cuts of pork and whole mustard seed added. A traditional German favorite known as "Farmers Sausage".
Weisswurst - A finely ground pork sausage, mildly seasoned with white pepper, nutmeg and lemon. A favorite in southern Germany, traditionally served with sweet mustard and red cabbage.
Natural Casing Knackwurst / Knockwurst An "Old World" favorite, made from beef and pork, with just the right touch of Garlic. Excellent heated in water, or browned on the grill. Serve with your favorite side, or on a roll. The original "Fat Frankfurter".
CheddarBrats - Our traditional German style Smoked Bratwurst, with naturally aged sharp cheddar added. A nice twist to an Old World favorite!
Cooked Italian Style Sausage: Our fully cooked Italian Style sausage, traditionally seasoned with cracked black pepper, fennel, and just a touch of garlic. Just brown and serve.
